In 1997, we received an immense
grace: the abbatial blessing of Mgr Wladimir, our first Abbot, was
conferred in the patriarchal Basilica of Saint-Paul-without-the-Walls, in
Rome itself. Cardinal Paul Augustin Mayer, who always showed paternal
support for our Community, performed the ceremony. Two other Cardinals
were present and, in a welcome ecclesial gesture, our diocesan Bishop,
Mgr Lagrange, made a point of attending the ceremony.
Bishop
Lagrange has always been a supportive father to our religious family, for which we
wish to thank him and assure him of our continued respect.
